Job summary

Mattel is seeking a Development Program Management Associate to join our Product Development team at our campus in El Segundo, CA. Qualifications

• BA/BS in Engineering or related discipline required.
• 0-2 years of relevant project management experience.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects, make quick decisions and solve problems.
• Comfortable leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and data-entry comfort.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects of varying product types while maintaining cost and schedule targets.
• Coordinate with overseas development, tooling, and manufacturing to ensure successful project completion.
• Troubleshoot production level samples and suggest fixes to defects and improve mechanisms.
• Develop, maintain and drive schedule execution of worldwide products.
• Act as liaison between El Segundo teams and overseas locations throughout the product life cycle.
• Review concept sketches and support products in the preliminary design phase.
• Work with external development sources to engineer the product.
• Develop cost estimates and provide cost/financial analyses for different types of products.
• Analyze product design to optimize materials, methods and processes for cost/objectives.
• Guide cross-functional teams to optimize product content given price and margin constraints.
