Madewell is hiring an Associate Designer for Women's Sweaters in New York. The role supports Design Directors and a Senior Designer to develop concepts, color stories, fabrics, trims and graphics for each season, including presentation boards and CAD artwork.

You will research trends and execute line lists while coordinating with Technical Design and Production. You will participate in fittings and ensure the design concept is maintained through production, leveraging your strong illustration

Qualifications

• 2–5 years design experience
• Apparel Design degree required
• Must have strong color sense and presentation skills
• Knowledge of garment construction and fabric/trim
• Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, PLM, Word and Excel

Responsabilités

• Work with Design Directors and Senior Designer to develop concepts, color stories, fabrics and graphics for each season
• Prepare presentation boards with illustrations, CADs, fabrics and samples
• Research seasonal trends, color, materials and styling for classification
• Execute seasonal line list and meet product development calendar deadlines
• Collaborate with Technical Design to ensure accuracy of specs and fit
• Conduct fittings with Senior Designer or Design Director and work with Production to maintain design concept through production
