Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is seeking an Associate Electrical Designer to provide design assistance for electrical systems on chemical and/or pulp and paper projects. The role supports larger assignments with established precedents and aims to optimize performance and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate has an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology and at least 2 years of electrical design experience, with a focus on decarbonization and energy transition initiatives.

KBR is looking for an Associate Electrical Designer to provide design assistance necessary to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria required for directed project work. With additional experience and guidance with electrical design, the incumbent assists in the design of larger and more complex assignments which involve conventional types of plans, investigations and surveys with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents. Your job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for electrical design on chemical and/or pulp and paper projects

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years electrical design experience
• Decarbonization – Energy Transition – Sustainability
