Job summary

Old Navy in San Francisco is seeking a product designer to conceptualize and create sustainable product concepts that meet our brand’s value and style across family categories. You will partner with cross functional teams to ensure fit, quality, and market relevance while embracing risk taking and customer curiosity.

Responsibilities include developing concepts and sketches, building tech packs with production, and maintaining clear sketch updates and specs.

• Ability to translate trends into customer and brand context.

Responsibilities

• Research global markets to identify seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, categories and competitive inspiration.
• Develop concepts and sketches for product line and advocate for design ideas with leadership and cross functional partners.
• Develop cross functional relationships with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design, GIS, Visual Merchandising and Marketing to ensure concept to store execution.
• Partner with Production and Tech Design to create tech packs and communicate vision behind fit and product design, ensuring quality and margin targets.
• Able to communicate difficult concepts in a simple manner.
• Participate in projects and assignments of diverse scope.
• Responsible for sketch callouts and communicating desired fit and aesthetic to tech design and maintaining sketch updates and specifications.
