Job summary

Jobtailor in Philadelphia is seeking a hands-on Designer to lead apparel graphic, embellishment, and textile design for on-site production.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, create CADs, and develop optimized tech packs while staying current with fashion trends and colorways.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in fashion, graphic design, textiles, or fibers.
  • 3–5 years related industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to work on site at the Home Office in Philadelphia, PA 4–5 days per week.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, Fresco, NedGraphics, and Office 365.
  • Enthusiasm and experience with AI platforms for creative exploration a plus.
  • Proven expertise in apparel graphic, embellishment, and textile design.
  • Strong hand-drawing/painting skills and digital rendering abilities.
  • Passion for surface design and trend forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a flexible and positive attitude.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong deadline management.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise tech packs

Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly handoff meetings to receive project briefs for artwork and tech pack development.
  • Create original artwork, layouts, and colorways using traditional techniques and digital tools.
  • Develop graphic and embellishment layouts and colorway options.
  • Collaborate with the color team to align designs with specific palettes.
  • Work with product development and technical designers on costing and file setup.
  • Generate CADs communicating print placements on garments.
  • Create technical packages for artwork vendors and factories.
  • Review strike-offs to ensure proper execution.
  • Execute the seasonal textile vision for graphics and craft with the Senior Designer and Design Director.
  • Participate in seasonal trend processes and provide structured design insights.
  • Monitor fashion trends in graphics, craft, prints, and color.
  • Collaborate with design and buying teams on graphic and embellishment needs.
  • Manage daily email correspondence with internal teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Track development progress and organize bought samples.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and file folders with clear naming conventions
