Our elevated basics are worn by millions and loved for their perfect mix of comfort, style, and cultural relevance.

About the Role

The Associate Designer will support the design and development of fleece and lounge apparel. This role is responsible for helping create trend‑right, commercially successful products that align with Comfrt's brand vision, aesthetic, and quality standards. You will assist in taking product from concept through production, including trend research, sketching, color development, tech pack updates, sample review, and vendor communication.

You will partner closely with Design, Product Development, Technical Design, Merchandising, Production, and overseas vendors to bring innovative, comfort‑driven products to market. The ideal candidate has 4-5+ years of experience, a strong understanding of the female consumer, and a passion for fashion, trends, and product innovation. They are highly organized, detail‑oriented, proactive, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment where speed, creativity, and execution are equally important.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the team in taking product from initial concept through to production, including tech pack creation and updates post‑fitting
  • Assist with sketching new styles and silhouettes for upcoming seasons
  • Maintain day‑to‑day vendor communication and help execute necessary updates in a timely manner
  • Keep Miro boards up to date with current sketches, colorways, and style information
  • Take the lead on general bookkeeping and administrative tasks for the design team
  • Research emerging trends through market shopping, social media, competitor analysis, runway, and vintage references—helping to shape seasonal mood and trend direction
  • Over time, and with experience, grow into owning and managing individual product categories
Who You Are
  • 4–5+ years of apparel design experience, preferably within fast‑fashion, contemporary, athleisure, lifestyle, or youth‑focused brands.
  • Experience working for brands with a strong fashion point of view and high SKU count, where speed to market and trend relevance are critical.
  • Strong understanding of the female customer, including current trends, silhouettes, styling preferences, and emerging cultural influences.
  • Passionate about fashion, social media, trend forecasting, and understanding what is driving consumer demand.
  • Exceptional taste level with the ability to identify and translate trends into commercially successful products.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Detail‑oriented and execution‑focused, ensuring accuracy across sketches, tech packs, colorways, trims, and development samples.
  • Able to work autonomously, manage deadlines, and thrive in a fast‑paced remote environment.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while maintaining strong communication with cross‑functional partners.
  • High‑energy individual with a positive attitude and strong sense of urgency.
  • Deep appreciation for the Comfrt brand and an understanding of how comfort, wellness, community, and trend‑driven fashion can coexist.
Experience, Technical Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; strong sketching and presentation skills are required.
  • Ability to conduct competitive research, market analysis, and trend forecasting to identify white‑space opportunities for the brand.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrications, print techniques, embellishments, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, Production, and Sourcing teams.
  • Portfolio Required — Please include a portfolio with your application showcasing your design range, sketching ability, and eye for trend.
