Job summary

42North Dental in Portland, ME is seeking a licensed dentist to join a restorative and aesthetic-focused practice. You will diagnose and treat patients, create and discuss treatment plans, and provide comprehensive dental care in a modern, patient-centered environment.

The role offers flexible scheduling (full-time or part-time), no nights or weekends, and strong earning potential based on production and case mix, with opportunities for mentorship within a supportive network of doctors.

Qualifications

• Requires DDS/DMD degree and active state license to practice dentistry.
• Vaccination against Hepatitis B is required.
• Malpractice insurance coverage proof is required.
• BLS/CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patients' oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws.
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on the teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity.
• Maintain the highest quality standard of care and ethics.
• Keep abreast of new developments, technologies and best practices.
