Job summary

42 North Dental seeks a dentist to lead comprehensive patient care at our Portland, ME practice. The role covers exam, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative and surgical procedures across in-house specialties, with an emphasis on aesthetics and prevention.

You will operate within a modern, patient-centered environment, supported by mentors and a broad network, with strong production-based compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice dentistry and Hepatitis B vaccination documented.
• Proof of malpractice insurance and BLS/CPR certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health options and treatment plans.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review, interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws.
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues.
• Maintain high standard of ethics and professionalism; stay current with new developments.
