Job summary

42 North Dental is seeking a licensed dentist to join our Portland, ME practice. You will lead the patient experience from exam through treatment, with in-office specialty services including periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics.

Qualifications

• DDS/DMD degree from a CODA-accredited program.
• Current state dentistry license.
• Hepatitis B vaccination documented.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create and discuss treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients and update records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues.

Education

DMD or DDS degree from CODA-accredited program

Current state license to practice dentistry

Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination

Proof of malpractice insurance

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
