Job summary

42North Dental’s Restorative & Aesthetic Dental Associates in Portland, ME seeks a Dentist to manage the full clinical patient experience from exam to care delivery. In-office specialty services include periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics.

The Dentist role offers a flexible schedule (full-time or part-time) with no nights or weekends and a competitive annual rate. Compensation is production-based with strong earning potential and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from ADA CODA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Vaccination for Hepatitis B documented.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention
• Diagnose oral diseases
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health
• Review treatment plan options with patients
• Review, maintain and update patient medical and dental records
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues

Education
