Job summary

42North Dental is seeking a skilled dentist to join our restorative and aesthetic team in Portland, ME. This practice focuses on comprehensive care from initial exam through treatment, with in-house specialty services including periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics.

The position offers a flexible schedule (full-time or part-time) with production-based compensation, a modern patient-centered environment, and a supportive network of doctors to collaborate with for high-quality

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from an ADA CODA accredited program.
• Current license to practice dentistry in the state.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret X-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive care.
• Perform surgical procedures in the oral cavity.
• Maintain high standards of care, ethics and professionalism.
• Keep up with new developments, technologies and best practices.

Education

DMD or DDS degree (ADA CODA accredited)

Current state license to practice dentistry

Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination

Proof of malpractice insurance

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
