Job summary

42North Dental in Portland, ME is seeking a dentist to lead comprehensive dental care with a focus on restorative and aesthetic dentistry. You will manage full patient care from exam to treatment, including in-office specialty services and a strong emphasis on prevention and patient education.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from ADA CODA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create and review treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Maintain and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues.
• Maintain high standard of ethics and professionalism.
• Stay updated on new developments and continuing education.

Education
