Job summary

42 North Dental in Portland, ME, is seeking a dentist to lead comprehensive patient care from exam to treatment, including in-office specialty services. The practice emphasizes restorative and aesthetic dentistry with a collaborative team and strong earning potential based on production.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from an ADA CODA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice dentistry is required.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases and plan treatment options.
• Educate patients on options and maintenance of oral health.
• Create and review treatment plans for restorative and preventive care.
• Review and maintain patients' medical and dental records.
• Review, interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Perform restorative and preventive dental procedures.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity.
• Maintain high standards of ethics and professionalism.
• Keep abreast of new developments and continuing education.
