Job summary

42 North Dental in Portland, ME is seeking a Dentist to join a restorative and aesthetic dental practice. You will manage the full patient experience from exam to care, with in-office specialty services including periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from a university-based dental program accredited by the ADA CODA.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plans with patients.
• Maintain and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone, and soft tissues.
• Maintain high standards of ethics and professionalism.
• Keep up with new developments and continuing education.
