Job summary

42 North Dental in Portland, ME is seeking a Dentist to lead the full clinical patient experience from initial exam through delivery of care. In-office specialty services include periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery and orthodontics.

This role offers flexible scheduling (full-time or part-time), competitive earnings based on production, and a modern, patient-centered practice with a supportive team. No nights or weekends required.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from an ADA CODA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws.
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity.
• Maintain the highest standard of care, ethics, and professionalism.

Education

DMD or DDS degree
