Job summary

42 North Dental in Portland, ME, is seeking a licensed dentist to provide comprehensive restorative and cosmetic dentistry. The role offers a flexible schedule (full-time or part-time) with no nights or weekends, in a modern, patient-centered practice environment.

You will lead comprehensive exams, treatment planning, and in-office specialty services. The position includes mentorship, ongoing CE, and strong earning potential based on production within a supportive team network.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from a CODA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment options with patients and update medical/dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone, and soft tissues.
• Maintain high standards of ethics and professionalism.
• Keep up with new developments and continuing education.
