Associate Dentist Job Responsibilities

• Examining patients' teeth and gums to diagnose and treat oral health issues
• Using X-rays and imaging to assist examinations
• Providing treatments such as cleanings, extractions, fillings, whitening, bonding, crowns, caps, and veneers
• Administering local anesthesia as needed
• Educating patients on oral hygiene and aftercare
• Performing oral cancer screenings
• Prescribing antibiotics and pain medications
• Sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Taking impressions for mouthguards and dentures

Associate Dentist Requirements

• DDS or DMD degree
• State dental license
