Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Associate Attorney for a highly regarded St. Louis law firm. You will communicate with clients, prepare discovery documents and motions, gather evidence, research issues, and develop trial strategy to support defense or litigation.

Responsibilities include trial attendance, witness preparation, and assisting with opening statements and jury instructions. Requires a JD, Missouri Bar license; Illinois Bar is a plus.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Missouri Bar license (mandatory).
• Illinois Bar license preferred if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with clients to keep them informed of case developments.
• Prepares discovery documents, motions, pleadings and briefs.
• Gathers evidence, conducts research, interviews clients and witnesses, and develops strategy.
• Attends and assists at trials.
• Researches legal issues and prepares memorandums.
• Plans for trial aspects including witness examination and jury instructions.
• Prepares witnesses for deposition or trial.
