Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Student Personnel Administration, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Seven years of experience in problem-solving in a university setting, with administrative responsibilities in misconduct adjudication and related processes.
  • Five years of experience supervising full-time staff.
  • Demonstrated experience investigating and managing student conduct and academic integrity cases, including appeals.
  • Understanding of AI technologies and their impact on higher education, including policies and student support.
  • Ability to evaluate AI-related issues and develop related policies and educational initiatives.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness with a diverse student population; strong collaboration with faculty and staff.
  • Crisis management skills and ability to manage crises effectively.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication; time management and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Investigates and adjudicates student conduct and academic integrity violations.
  • Interview involved parties to gather facts and evidence.
  • Decide the appropriate course of action; inform the accused and prepare reports.
  • Prepare case materials for the Student Conduct Board and present to the committee.
  • Oversee and train Hearing and Development Officer staff.
  • Assess program effectiveness; develop campus workshops and presentations.
  • Manage Hearing Board and Conduct Advisors; oversee policy updates.
  • Develop policies and publish in student handbooks or other media.
  • Provide data analysis and advise on student appeals processes.
  • Coordinate probation, suspension, and readmission support for students.
  • Serve as liaison between students, faculty, and administration.
  • Conduct interviews; communicate follow-ups and finalize policy decisions.
  • Coordinate retention initiatives and monitor campus retention trends.
  • Ensure FERPA compliance for conduct records across offices.
  • Provide certifications for agencies requesting student conduct information.
