Job summary

Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine at AtlantiCare Health System seeks an Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education to lead the regional campus in Southeastern New Jersey. The role oversees academic, clinical, and operational success, ensuring full integration with institutional priorities and LCME standards.

The position represents the Dean’s Office on-site and drives curriculum delivery, faculty development, student recruitment, and program quality across campuses.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification in a clinical specialty preferred.
• Academic rank of Associate Professor or higher (or eligible).
• Proven leadership experience in undergraduate medical education.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior on-site leader representing the Office of the Dean, overseeing all local academic and administrative matters.
• Ensure excellence in UME delivery, including curriculum implementation and clinical education across campuses.
• Lead clinical course site development and evaluation for high-quality learning environments.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop faculty; oversee adjunct faculty appointments.
• Direct day-to-day campus operations, staff supervision, and program delivery.
• Support medical student recruitment and enhance regional-campus experience.
• Drive accreditation readiness and quality improvement initiatives.
