Gustavus Adolphus College seeks an Associate Dean of Students to lead the Student Life Division, overseeing staff, coordinating comprehensive student support, and advancing wellbeing, engagement, and persistence. The role involves crisis response, budget management, and campus-wide student success initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a student-facing role in a higher education setting.
• Recent training and proven expertise in Title IX.
• Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, holidays as needed to support the College.

Responsabilités

• Direct Student Support: provide direct student support, counseling, advocacy, care-mapping, and problem-solving for students and families.
• Student Support Specialist & Case Management: deliver coordinated care and wrap-around support for students facing challenges.
• Basic Needs & Wellness Integration: link housing/food security and wellness resources with campus services.
• Retention & Engagement: develop and implement retention strategies to foster belonging and persistence.
• Care Mapping & Team Collaboration: conduct care-mapping sessions and participate in multidisciplinary teams (SAT, BAT, Bias Response Team).
• Departmental Supervision: supervise multiple departments within the Student Life Division.
• Personnel Development: recruit, orient, and develop professional staff; chair search committees.
• Budget Management: oversee budgets and support budget managers.
• Leadership Group: contribute to divisional strategy and campus-wide student success initiatives.
• Crisis Response: participate in 24/7 on-call crisis response.
• Committee Service: serve on divisional and College-wide committees.
