Job summary

Chamberlain University is seeking an Associate Dean of Academic Affairs to lead day-to-day academic operations, supervise faculty, and drive BSN program goals. You will partner with the Dean on strategic execution and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.

The role emphasizes faculty performance, data-informed decisions, budget collaboration, and ongoing curriculum improvement to support student success and program excellence.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in nursing required; doctoral degree in nursing preferred.
• Unencumbered professional nursing licensure required.
• 2+ years of nursing education experience at bachelor level or above.
• 2+ years in simulation and/or clinical experience development/participation.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• 2+ years in acute patient care (trauma, emergency or medical-surgical) preferred.
• Budget planning, resource management, and change leadership experience.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement academic strategy under Dean's direction; manage faculty schedules, workload, and performance.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain qualified faculty to ensure program excellence.
• Lead performance management for assigned faculty and ensure teaching quality and outcomes.
• Collaborate with leadership to plan and manage budgets.
• Ensure curriculum delivery meets standards and accreditation benchmarks.
• Embed Chamberlain Care principles and Covista culture into academic operations and support services.
• Coordinate scheduling/workload for campus groups; support clinical placement of nursing students.
• Liaise with boards, communities, and internal stakeholders with professionalism and care.
• Lead program expansion and new academic initiatives with agility and vision.
