University of Central Florida College of Medicine seeks an Associate Dean for Students (associate professor or professor path) to lead student affairs and student success initiatives. The role emphasizes wellness, advising excellence, and professional development across pre-clinical and clinical phases.

The candidate should have at least five years in related higher education roles, strong communication, and proven leadership, with potential for tenure track and flexible FTE allocation.

Qualifications

• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in student affairs, academic support, student success, medical education, or related higher education roles.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience leading or supporting trainee conduct, professionalism, or promotion processes.

Responsabilités

• Overseeing student affairs functions including Admissions, Career Services, Counseling and Wellness, and Registrar.
• Supervising and mentoring Assistant Deans for Students and staff.
• Leading four-year advising program and Careers Curriculum for medical students.
• Overseeing MSPE process to ensure reliable and consistent evaluations.
• Planning major student events (orientation, ceremonies, Match Day, Commencement).
• Ensuring compliance with LCME standards related to student affairs and learning environment.
• Supporting student success, wellness, and readiness for residency.
• Collaborating with faculty and partners to integrate student support.
