Job summary

The Covenant HealthCare College of Medicine at Central Michigan University seeks an Associate Dean for Research to lead the medical school's research mission across basic, translational, clinical, and population health domains. Qualifications

• MD/DO/PhD or equivalent terminal degree with translational research experience.
• Five years of leadership experience in university-based medical/public health research.
• Proven track record of securing extramural funding.
• Strong understanding of clinical, translational, and basic science research.

Responsibilities

• Oversee research administration of the College of Medicine and affiliated programs.
• Represent the dean on strategic issues and committees.
• Collaborate with CMU and affiliated institutions to develop and nurture faculty research.
• Establish and conduct independent or collaborative research programs and obtain external funding.
• Collaborate with CMU colleges and community organizations on research initiatives.
• Develop and maintain research policies and risk management related to research.
