Job summary

Westcliff University seeks an Associate Dean of Nursing, Experiential Learning to lead experiential learning across the College of Nursing's BSN and ELM programs. You will design and improve clinical, simulation, and community-based experiences, ensuring resources, partnerships, and accreditation readiness.

You will work with the Dean, program leadership, and faculty to support student progression, retention, and transition to professional practice, while ensuring compliance with California BRN

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Active, unencumbered RN license in California.
• Minimum of three years of professional registered nursing experience with direct patient care.
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience in a registered nursing program.
• Progressive leadership experience in nursing education or administration.
• Experience with clinical placement coordination, partnerships, or practice-based learning.
• Strong communication, organization, and data-informed decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide college-wide leadership and strategic direction for experiential learning across BSN and ELM programs.
• Develop and evaluate policies, procedures, and standards for experiential learning.
• Lead development and evaluation of clinical and community partnerships and affiliation agreements.
• Oversee clinical placement planning, rotation capacity, and assignments with faculty and staff.
• Align experiential activities with course outcomes, program outcomes, and curriculum objectives.
• Collaborate with academic leadership on nursing curriculum and teaching strategies.
• Provide leadership for BRN clinical specialty areas and ensure regulatory compliance.
