The role provides strategic leadership for pre-licensure and undergraduate programs, fostering academic excellence, curriculum alignment, and student success.

Collaboration with multiple senior leaders supports teaching, research, and community engagement.

Qualifications

Full-time senior faculty rank (Associate Professor or Professor).
Currently licensed or eligible for Virginia nursing licensure; 2+ years direct clinical care.
Demonstrated teaching experience in nursing programs.
Demonstrated leadership and mentorship in academic programs.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in a academic setting.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic, operational, and visionary oversight of undergraduate programs and Family and Child Health Nursing.
Collaborate with School leadership to advance academic, research, practice, and community priorities.
Oversee faculty orientation, development, workload planning, and mentoring.
Support student success initiatives and manage clinical partnerships.
Lead program and department goals aligned with the university mission.
Represent the department with internal and external stakeholders.
