Job summary

MCPHS Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene seeks an Associate Dean (AD-M) to lead the dental hygiene program on the Manchester campus. The AD-M will oversee faculty, curriculum planning, budgeting, and operations while maintaining compliance with CODA standards.

The role includes teaching and scholarly activities consistent with Associate Professor/Professor rank, advancing student success, and collaborating with external partners. The appointment aligns with CODA approval timelines.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree preferred; candidates with a master's degree and significant relevant experience will be considered.
• Evidence of continuing education in educational methodology and teaching innovation.
• Minimum of 5 years of full-time faculty experience in dental hygiene education.
• Prior experience as a dental hygiene program director preferred.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of administrative experience in higher education.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience as a dental hygienist.
• Experience teaching in remote, hybrid, and online learning environments using virtual instructional platforms.

Responsibilities

• Teach academic courses at undergraduate and graduate levels as assigned.
• Advise and support students through various communication channels.
• Engage in research and scholarly activity aligned with academic rank.
• Support integration of humanistic education and broaden student awareness of health disparities.
• Participate in service activities and committee work.
