Job summary

Dealer Tire LLC is seeking an Associate Data Scientist to perform advanced modeling, data preparation, and AI-assisted analysis. The role emphasizes building statistical models, managing large datasets, and contributing to data science products within a fast-paced environment.

You will work with Python and SQL, use Snowflake/dbt, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver insights and impact for business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required.
• 0–2 years of experience in data science, analytics, or related roles - OR - advanced degree.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced modeling and analysis, delivering accurate and timely results.
• Develop and implement statistical and machine learning models under guidance (regression, classification, clustering, forecasting).
• Apply analytical methods based on problem definitions, datasets and evaluation criteria.
• Use notebooks to explore data, prototype models and validate approaches.
• Interpret model outputs and translate findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate analysis and code development.
• Utilize AI tools and large language models to support analysis and research tasks.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of data science products, pipelines and reporting.
• Clean, transform and prepare large datasets; write SQL and Python transformations.
• Work with Snowflake and dbt workflows to prepare analytics-ready data.
