Job summary

Toast’s Enterprise Data Solutions team is seeking an Associate Product Manager for Data Governance to help build a trusted, scalable data foundation that enables teams to make faster, data-driven decisions.

You will own governance dashboards, collaborate with Engineering, Analytics, and Legal to translate business definitions into metadata specifications, and help advance AI governance and data quality across the organization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data governance, data management, product management, or analytics.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, and data catalogs (DataHub, Alation, Atlan).
• Ability to implement governance frameworks and metadata models for core enterprise apps.

Responsibilities

• Stand up dashboards to monitor data requirements across the organization.
• Facilitate Data Governance Council sessions and manage the enterprise Business Glossary.
• Collaborate with the data catalog team to automate metadata standards and data discovery.
• Develop governance documentation, stewardship training materials, and SOPs to scale domains.
• Research data management and AI governance practices to improve enterprise data policies.
• Own governance dashboards, proactive compliance monitoring, and data quality tracking.
• Partner with Engineering, Analytics, Legal to translate business definitions into technical metadata specifications.
