Job summary

Brightli in St. Charles, MO is seeking an Associate Counselor to support assessment, treatment planning, and counseling for clients with mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

Under supervision, you will assist with screenings, develop treatment plans, facilitate group sessions, and provide individualized support, while adhering to ethical standards and pursuing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Hold one of the following licenses: MAADC I or II, CADC, CRADC.
• Associate’s degree or high school diploma/equivalent required.
• A trainee that meets the requirements for registration, supervision, and professional development as set forth by the Missouri Credentialing Board or the appropriate board of registration.

Responsibilities

• Support clients throughout recovery by facilitating group counseling, education, family conferences, and individual counseling sessions.
• Participate in client screenings and assessments under supervision.
• Collaborate in developing individualized treatment plans based on assessments and evolving needs.
• Contribute to clinical staffing and treatment team meetings with relevant case information.
• Build positive professional relationships with clients, referral sources, coworkers and the treatment team.
• Respond to crisis situations following agency procedures and notify supervision as needed.
• Document services accurately and timely while meeting regulatory standards.
• Demonstrate commitment to ethical practices and company goals.
