Job summary

Civicworks in New York City seeks an Associate Counsel to lead confidential investigations into allegations of prosecutorial misconduct. The attorney will evaluate complaints, oversee investigative teams, and report to the Deputy Director of Investigations.

You will draft detailed reports with findings and recommendations and assist in hearings for the Commission on Prosecutorial Conduct. Ideal candidates hold a NYS bar admission, a J.D., and substantial litigation experience.

Qualifications

The role involves evaluating complaints, managing investigative teams, drafting reports with findings and recommendations, and assisting in hearings for the Commission on Prosecutorial Conduct.

Key qualifications:

• J.D. with at least 6 years of experience as an attorney admitted to practice in New York State
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Litigation experience (depositions, trials, and/or appellate)
