Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California, is seeking an associate for the Corporate Development team to lead cross-functional M&A deal execution and strategic investments. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, finance, marketing and legal teams and manage negotiations, diligence and integration planning.

The role requires 1-3 years in related fields, strong financial modeling, and the ability to lead complex projects with integrity. Onsite presence and travel up to 10% are expected.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-3 years in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, VC or management consulting.
  • Proven proficiency in Excel and strong financial modeling skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and drive complex projects/analyses.
  • Direct experience handling sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Ability to be onsite; this role is an in-person, onsite position.
  • Up to 10% travel required; domestic and international.

Description

You will evaluate acquisition opportunities and lead cross‑functional M&A deal teams including senior members of Apple’s engineering, operations, finance, marketing and legal teams.

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for all aspects of M&A execution including negotiation, documentation, diligence and integration planning.
  • Research and analyze industries, companies, technology segments and business models. Evaluate the merits of complex alternatives and present findings to Apple leadership.
  • Analyze potential strategic investments and support existing investments.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience: 1-3 years experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, venture capital or management consulting
  • Proven proficiency in Excel and strong financial modeling skills
  • Proven ability to lead and drive complex projects/analyses
  • Direct experience handling sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion
  • Ability to be onsite; this role is an in‑person, onsite position
  • Up to 10% + travel required; both domestic and international

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $149,700 and $225,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
