Job summary

Circle Logistics, Inc. seeks an Associate Lawyer to support the Legal & Compliance function as a hands-on contract and litigation resource for the business.

This role owns the day-to-day flow of commercial agreements, from first review through redline and execution, and provides direct support on employment matters, restrictive covenant enforcement, and freight claims. The attorney will work closely with sales, operations, HR, and outside counsel to move deals forward quickly while protecting

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and Indiana bar admission.
• 0–3 years of practice; commercial contracts or transportation preferred.
• Familiarity with Carmack Amendment and FMCSA framework.
• Strong drafting and negotiation experience in a business setting.

Responsibilities

• Review, redline, and negotiate carrier and broker agreements, NDAs, and vendor contracts.
• Support defense of employment claims and manage internal investigations with HR.
• Review cargo claims, freight disputes, and insurance considerations; draft demand and settlement letters.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and outside counsel to move deals forward while managing risk.
