Gapingvoid Culture Design Group seeks an Associate Culture Design Consultant to turn human insight into work clients can experience. You will support research, synthesis, communications, presentations, workshops, events, and coordination to keep complex work moving.
You’ll analyze interviews, develop client narratives, and contribute ideas, while drafting communications and coordinating logistics. This hands-on learning role grows toward owning more complex work over time.
A Gapingvoid Associate Culture Design Consultant helps turn human insight and strategy into work clients can experience. You will support research, synthesis, communications, presentations, workshops, events, and the coordination that keeps complex work moving.
Some days, you will help analyze interviews, develop a client narrative, or contribute to a new idea. Others, you will draft communications, build a run of show, coordinate travel and materials, prepare a room, or track the details behind a major client experience. Both are the work.
This is a hands-on learning role. You will work alongside Consultants and Creative, contribute ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and build judgment by seeing strategy through execution. As you grow, you will own increasingly complex pieces of the work.
Your impact is in making the thinking stronger and the delivery dependable. You help ensure great ideas survive contact with reality.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGDISCOVERY, RESEARCH & INSIGHT SUPPORT. Support interviews, surveys, observation, desk research, and data organization. Capture what matters, help identify patterns and tensions, and contribute to clear, useful insights.
PROJECT DELIVERY & COORDINATION. Track timelines, decisions, dependencies, materials, revisions, and follow-ups. Anticipate what is needed, surface risks early, and help multiple workstreams keep moving.
COMMUNICATIONS & NARRATIVE DEVELOPMENT. Draft, edit, and organize client communications, presentations, reports, invitations, toolkits, schedules, and follow-ups. Help turn complex thinking into language people can understand and use.
WORKSHOP, EXPERIENCE & EVENT DELIVERY. Help plan and deliver workshops, Masterclasses, offsites, launches, Culture Walls, and other client experiences. Build runs of show, coordinate participants, travel, venues, vendors, materials, and technology—and help execute onsite.
CREATIVE & PRODUCTION PARTNERSHIP. Gather content, develop briefs, coordinate reviews, manage revisions, and partner with Creative to make the thinking visible. Protect quality through every handoff.
CLIENT & STAKEHOLDER SUPPORT. Prepare meetings, capture decisions, respond thoughtfully, and help clients feel supported. Learn to read the room, anticipate needs, and build trust through preparation and follow-through.
BUILDING THE CONSULTING MUSCLE. Ask thoughtful questions, contribute to synthesis and recommendations, and learn how culture strategy becomes something people can experience. Over time, you will move from supporting defined pieces to owning them.
WHAT YOU BRINGYou may be early in your career, with experience in design, research, human behavior, communications, events, production, client service, or an adjacent field. What matters more than a particular degree is how you think, learn, communicate, and follow through.
For nearly 20 years, Gapingvoid has designed Culture as a System® across the public and private sectors. Culture is not the softer layer around the work. It is the beliefs, language, behaviors, rituals, and signals that shape performance and determine whether strategy becomes real. We make it designable.
We believe work should be an inspiring mission: something that teaches, tests, and transforms us. We give leaders tools to turn employees into believers and help people reach more of their potential.
We are an entrepreneurial firm building the methods, tools, and discipline to make Culture Design® a serious management system.
We Cut Through BS. We Design Belief. We Install Devotion. We are Never Sedated. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECTAll Associate Consultants begin with a 90-day independent contractor engagement. It gives you and Gapingvoid the opportunity to work together, experience the role, and determine mutual fit. The contractor period does not include employee benefits.
At the end of 90 days, we’ll review performance, role fit, and business needs. If both sides choose to continue, you may receive an offer to convert to full-time employment. Employee benefits are available only after conversion, subject to plan eligibility and effective dates.
CompensationThe monthly range for the 90-day 1099 Independent Contractor term is $5,415 - $7,085/mo., equivalent to the expected annual compensation of $65,000-85,000 when you become a Full-Time Employee with Benefits.
