A rapidly growing security firm seeks a Construction Estimator to support its team in developing bid opportunities and detailed cost estimates. The ideal candidate will have a construction management degree and experience in cost estimation and project management. Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Construction Estimator to support our growing team by developing bid opportunities and building detailed cost estimates in support of fixed price bids. The Construction Estimator will analyze the scopes of work for physical security construction and repair opportunities to develop travel, labor, equipment, tool, and material estimates in coordination with PSP executives and sales professionals as needed. The Construction Estimator will review solicitation documents including plans and specifications to develop material takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates.The successful candidate will excel at consolidating input from the Company’s experienced team of Superintendents, Project Managers, and Technicians to develop and document schedule and sequence of work assumptions and select appropriate key materials.

Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
·Two to four years of experience preparing work plans, cost estimates, change order proposals, or similar estimating functions preferred.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
·Field construction or construction project management experience is desired.
·Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications is required while experience with Microsoft Project, Procore, and other construction management software is highly beneficial.
·Familiarity with construction trade work, concrete management, vendor management, and/ or subcontractor management is desired.
·Experience working with federal Government contracts is preferred.
