We are looking for passionate and motivated Data Engineers to join our growing team of engineers. We are on a mission to transform technology and health care and you will play a pivotal role in executing our strategies and making our vision come true.

Training and development will be a part of your role. Due to this you must have the ability to commute to one of the following office locations: Blue Bell, PA; Chantilly, VA; Florham Park, NJ; Harrisburg, PA; Hartford, CT; Jacksonville, FL; Orlando, FL; Wellesley, MA; Woonsocket, RI.

This is a hybrid role (3 days a week onsite) in the Aetna offices in Hartford, CT.

Responsibilities:

• Develops scalable, repeatable and secure data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, standardize and integrate data that facilitate more complete, accurate and consistent data for insights and reporting.
• Builds efficient, high quality, integrated and increasingly real-time ETL/ELT processes using tools, programming languages and services.
• Delivers data capabilities and new data products to accelerate investments in data and democratize data across the enterprise and within the Health Care Business unit.
• Collaborates with data science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes.
• Builds data models, data marts and extracts to support Data Science, internal customers and third-party administrators.
• Analyzes data, understands complex systems and solves challenging data sourcing and integration problems.
• Promotes engineering excellence by simplifying, optimizing, and automating processes and workflows.
• Innovates by leveraging and practicing agile techniques to achieve efficiency, boost productivity and improve processes.

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years hands-on experience building and deploying data pipelines.
• 1+ years' experience using Python and any ETL tool.
• Working experience in Relational databases or Hadoop with strong understanding of SQL or HQL.
• Hands on experience in building solutions in public cloud environments (GCP, Azure or AWS).
• Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building ETL data pipelines in Ab-Initio or equivalent technology.
• Experience in GCP Cloud services such as Big Query, Composer, Airflow, DataProc.
• Working background with tools Tableau, Alteryx and/or ThoughtSpot.
• Basic Understanding of some ETL Tools e.g., AbInitio, Native BigQuery etc.
• Experience with bash shell scripts, UNIX utilities & UNIX Commands, CI/CD.
• Agile practice experience with methodologies like SAFe.
• Healthcare domain experience.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or related discipline.
• Master’s degree or PhD preferred.

Pay Range:

The typical pay range for this role is: $64,890.00 - $131,800.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
