Job description

Overview of the role:

The Associate Client Consultant plays a critical and unique role at Euromonitor International. Working across a named list of existing high-profile global accounts with high potential, your goal is to uncover additional partnership opportunities within the North American region. By leveraging our entire suite of services, the Associate Client Consultant’s role is to engage multiple business units and various functions including strategy, consumer insights, marketing, innovation, finance, etc., to uncover unmet market research needs. Solutions include data and trend analysis from existing syndicated databases as well as custom research capabilities to address specific priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Knowledge
    • Develop a deep understanding of Euromonitor’s syndicated databases and custom research capabilities, and be able to succinctly explain them to clients.
    • Apply and design tailored solutions using all available resources to meet client needs.
  • Client Organization Understanding
    • Build relationships and create a deeper network within client organizations through consistent, proactive engagement with multiple decision-makers.
    • Map, network, and penetrate a client’s organizational structure, while understanding key business processes such as strategic planning, innovation funnels, and market entry strategies.
    • Challenge clients constructively to broaden their perspectives.
  • Sales Process
    • Own an annual upsell target while assisting with contract renewals. Lead strategic client meetings to understand needs, offer valuable insights, and position our research as a problem-solving tool. Build strong relationships across client organizations to expand engagement.
    • Develop tailored value propositions and assist in crafting syndicated and custom research proposals. Use a consultative, benefit-led approach to drive sales, negotiate contracts, while overcoming obstacles to executive engagement.
    • Identify new opportunities for our capabilities within client organizations and proactively expand key contacts. Provide valuable client feedback to internal teams, ensuring our research and solutions align with market needs.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a sales, client services or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed goals or performance targets
  • Intellectual curiosity, along with a competitive spirit.
  • Consistently approaching challenges head-on; asks “why not” as opposed to “why.”
  • Comfort interacting with executives within various levels and functions.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management, a drive to learn and grow in a fast paced environment.
  • Interest in working with international clients or learning about global markets.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal colleagues.
