Job summary

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of operations or comparable experience in compensation or HR.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze compensation survey submissions to assess market competitiveness and pay trends.
  • Conduct job evaluations and assist in creating/grading job descriptions.
  • Participate in annual compensation reviews including merit, bonus, and equity cycles.
  • Provide analytical support for compensation-related projects and policy development.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders for guidance.
  • Maintain compensation data in HRIS and ensure data integrity.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on compensation metrics and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws.
  • Assist in creating and delivering compensation training materials.

Job Overview

Client Compensation Consultant will support the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs at LPL Financial Corp, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market competitiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in compensation survey submissions and analyze results to assess market competitiveness and identify pay trends.
  • Conduct job evaluations and participate in the development and maintenance of job descriptions, ensuring proper titling and grading.
  • Assist in the annual compensation review process, including merit, bonus, and equity cycles, from data preparation to communication.
  • Provide analytical support for compensation-related projects, such as program design, policy development, and impact analysis.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders to provide compensation guidance and support for various business units.
  • Maintain and update compensation data in HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on compensation metrics, trends, and program effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of compensation-related training and communication materials to employees and managers.

Requirements
  • 3+ years operations or comparable experience
Core Competencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proactive and results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferences
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas)
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle) and compensation survey tools preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce, Dynamics, and Documentum would be a plus
  • Experience managing work queues and mailboxes while meeting SLAs
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
Pay Range

$21.00-$34.96/hour

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
