Job summary

Pennoni Associates seeks an Associate Transportation Civil Engineer to join our Virginia Beach, VA office. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and delivery of transportation projects for state and local agencies in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Projects include highway/roadway design, bridges, and multi-use trails. You will work with MicroStation Connect, ORD, PW, and possibly Civil 3D, while collaborating with a design team to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with MicroStation Connect, OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and ProjectWise (PW), or Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Highway and roadway design experience using MicroStation Connect, ORD and PW.
• Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus; GIS experience a plus.
• Hydrology and Hydraulic (H&H) design experience.
• Drainage design, SWM and ES&C design experience. CCR certification a plus.
• Utility design, water and sanitary sewer layout and lighting design.
• Developing Maintenance of Traffic schemes, Construction Phasing and Traffic Control Plans.
• Developing project cost estimates and specifications, including Special Provisions.
• Construction consultation experience.

Pennoni Associates Is Currently Seeking a Associate Transportation Civil Engineer To Join Our Team In Our Virginia Beach, VA Office, With Experience Consistent, But Not Limited To

• Work as a part of design team in the successful project delivery for clients including VDOT, NCDOT, and agencies in the Mid-Atlantic Region and locally administered transportation projects in Virginia.
• Project types include transportation improvement projects, safety improvement projects, bridge replacement projects and multi-use trail projects.

Required Attributes

• MicroStation Connect, OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and ProjectWise (PW) experience or Autodesk/Civil 3-D experience
• Highway and roadway design experience using MicroStation Connect, ORD and PW
• Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus; GIS experience a plus
• Hydrology and Hydraulic (H&H) design experience
