Royal Engineers and Consultants, LLC is seeking a licensed Associate Civil Engineer (PE) to join our dynamic team in New Orleans. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a passion for delivering civil engineering projects from concept to completion.

The role involves guiding stakeholders, planning designs, coordinating with architects, contractors, and surveyors, and ensuring safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer license.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 4–8 years of experience in managing, designing, planning, and/or constructing projects of moderate complexity and scale.

Responsibilities

• Consults with project stakeholders and managerial staff regarding engineering requirements for construction of designs and modifications.
• Plans and designs to render and communicate designs; plans and designs related Civil Engineering systems.
• Plans projects based on analysis of materials, drawings, blueprints, surveys, maps, and geologic/topographic data.
• Drafts and presents reports on project topics.
• Estimates materials, equipment, and labor to determine project costs.
• Evaluates worksite conditions to aid design plans.
• Conducts assessments of damage at worksites.
• Collaborates with architects and contractors to ensure projects progress properly.
• Collaborates with surveyors to establish installations, reference points, grades, elevations affecting construction.
• Monitors project progress and ensures design specifications, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Inspects, repairs, and maintains structures upon project completion.

About Us

We are seeking alicensed Associate Civil Engineer (PE) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a passion for designing and overseeing civil engineering projects from concept to completion.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing

• Consults with and guides project stakeholders and managerial staff regarding engineering requirements for the construction of various designs and modifications for a given project.
• Plans and designs to accurately render and communicate designs; plans and designs other necessary and related systems of Civil Engineering.
• Plans projects based on the analysis of relevant materials, including drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, survey reports, maps, and other geologic and topographical data.
• Drafts and presents reports on topics related to projects.
• Estimates materials, equipment, and labor needed to determine project costs.
• Evaluates the physical conditions of the worksite to aid in design plans.
• Conduct assessments of damage at worksites.
• Collaborates with architects and contractors to ensure projects progress properly.
• Collaborates with surveyors (or directs and participates in surveying) to establish installations or reference points, grades, elevations, and other factors that will affect construction.
• Monitors project progress and ensures design specifications, safety, and sanitation standards are met.
• Upon project completion, inspects, repairs, and maintains the structures as needed.

The Criteria for Joining Our Team

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or other relevant discipline.

License (s):

• Professional Engineer license
• Valid driver’s license

Experience

• Over four years up to and including eight years of experience in managing, designing, planning, and/or constructing projects of moderate complexity and scale.

Supervision

• Work requires functioning as a lead worker performing essentially the same job as those directed and includes overseeing work quality, training, instructing, and scheduling work.

• Thorough understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations related to assigned projects.
