Royal Engineers and Consultants, LLC seeks an licensed Associate Civil Engineer (PE) to join our Lafayette, LA team. The role demands strong civil engineering expertise, project management, and a hands-on approach from concept to completion.

You will coordinate with stakeholders, prepare designs, estimate costs, review surveys, and ensure safe, compliant construction. A PE license and 4–8 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Over four to eight years of experience in managing, designing, planning, and/or constructing projects of moderate complexity.
• Professional Engineer license is required or pursuing licensure.

Responsabilités

• Consults with stakeholders and guides project staff on engineering requirements for construction/scopes.
• Plans, designs, and communicates civil engineering projects and related systems.
• Evaluates materials, drawings, surveys, maps to inform design decisions.
• Drafts and presents project reports and cost estimates.
• Collaborates with architects, contractors, and surveyors to ensure progress and quality.
• Monitors progress to ensure safety, design specs, and sanitation standards are met.
• Inspects, repairs, and maintains structures on project completion.

About Us

We are seeking alicensed Associate Civil Engineer (PE) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a passion for designing and overseeing civil engineering projects from concept to completion.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing

• Consults with and guides project stakeholders and managerial staff regarding engineering requirements for the construction of various designs and modifications for a given project.
• Plans and designs to accurately render and communicate designs; plans and designs other necessary and related systems of Civil Engineering.
• Plans projects based on the analysis of relevant materials, including drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, survey reports, maps, and other geologic and topographical data.
• Drafts and presents reports on topics related to projects.
• Estimates materials, equipment, and labor needed to determine project costs.
• Evaluates the physical conditions of the worksite to aid in design plans.
• Conduct assessments of damage at worksites.
• Collaborates with architects and contractors to ensure projects progress properly.
• Collaborates with surveyors (or directs and participates in surveying) to establish installations or reference points, grades, elevations, and other factors that will affect construction.
• Monitors project progress and ensures design specifications, safety, and sanitation standards are met.
• Upon project completion, inspects, repairs, and maintains the structures as needed.

The Criteria for Joining Our Team

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or other relevant discipline.

License (s):

• Professional Engineer license
• Valid driver’s license

Experience

• Over four years up to and including eight years of experience in managing, designing, planning, and/or constructing projects of moderate complexity and scale.

Supervision

• Work requires functioning as a lead worker performing essentially the same job as those directed and includes overseeing work quality, training, instructing, and scheduling work.

• Thorough understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations related to assigned projects.
• Extremely detail-oriented and accurate.

• Ability to manage projects efficiently and within budget.
• Ability to be both creative and analytical.
• Proficient in computer-assisted design (CAD) and other design, data recording, and analysis software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to acclimate to project management software or related software.
