We are seeking Associate Engineer(s) to work in our Land Development Engineering and Water Resources departments. These positions offer a hybrid work schedule. We are looking for enthusiastic engineers who are committed to life-long learning and always expanding their knowledge of their discipline. Associates at WEBB play an active role in the firm's pursuit to reach its goals by not only performing at the top of their game for their specific position but looking at the bigger picture to assist the firm in meeting its business development goals.

Land Development Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and design of commercial, industrial and/or residential projects
  • Perform design, drafting, computing, checking, and direction for field operations involved in the gathering and compilation of field data
  • Review improvement plans including street, grading, water, sewer, and storm drain plans
  • Prepare and design engineering plans and documents (grading, drainage, street, sewer, water, etc.)
  • Prepare cost and quantity estimates
  • Tabulate and summarize statistical data and prepare reports
  • Prepare and review drainage reports, calculations, and storm water quality management plans

Requirements

  • Fundamentals of civil engineering, mathematics and physics as applied to engineering, topography and construction surveying and analytical mechanics
  • Excellent technical and communication skills
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university
  • PE license
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
  • Working knowledge of public agency standards and guidelines
Water Resources

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater projects, pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, and treatment facilities
  • Produce plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects
  • Assist in preparation of various engineering reports, including alignment and feasibility studies, preliminary design reports, and Master Plans
  • Hydraulic modeling of water and sewer systems
  • Coordinate engineering tasks during project construction such as permitting issues, submittal reviews, survey coordination, and change order reviews
  • Design mechanical related projects including pump and lift stations, wells, and treatment facilities, including site grading plans
  • Support multiple design teams and Project Manager

Requirements

  • Ability to produce drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs using CAD software
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and two years’ experience in related projects
  • Possession of PE license
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of planning and construction documents
  • Excellent technical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on several concurrent projects
  • Ability to read, understand, and adapt to local agency standards and communicate with agencies and clients directly and effectively
