Job summary

Mount Sinai Services of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai-Elmhurst and Queens Programs seeks an experienced leader as Associate Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, program development, and strategic expansion of women's health services within a major academic medical system.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification by ABOG required; NY State license and DEA/Medicaid eligibility.
• Completion of an ACGME-approved OB/GYN residency.
• Leadership experience in academic or complex hospital settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Department Chief to oversee administrative, operational and clinical OB/GYN services.
• Supervise attending staff, residents, and mid-level providers; provide mentorship and performance evaluations.
• Serve as Acting Chief in the Chief's absence to ensure seamless operations.
• Drive quality improvement, patient safety protocols and clinical care standards.
