The Associate Chief Information Officer (ACIO) for Infrastructure, Clouds and Operations is a key member of the DOT’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) leadership team, responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Department’s IT infrastructure and operations strategies; overseeing the planning, management, and execution of IT infrastructure cloud, and operations programs across the Department, ensuring alignment with DOT’s mission, goals, and objectives.

TQ 1. Demonstrates executive-level experience successfully leading and executing large-scale IT infrastructure transformation and modernization initiatives and leveraging DevOps principles and automation tools to drive operational efficiency, accelerate service delivery, and manageinfrastructure at scale.
TQ 2. Demonstrates executive-level experience providing Digital Factory Application Teams with self-service, secure, and fully automated infrastructure provisioning mechanisms that accelerate the time-to-market and scale to align with mission needs.
In addition to the Technical Qualification Requirements listed above, all new entrants into the Senior Executive Service (SES) under a career appointment will be assessed for executive competency against the following five mandatory ECQs.
