The Associate Chaplain is responsible for Christian ministry to the spiritual, emotional, and relational health needs of all patients, families, and staff regardless of age, race, gender, ethnicity, or religious preference. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:Graduate of an accredited college or university. One quarter of certified Clinical Pastoral Education through ACPE, Inc., or NACC.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:Master of Divinity degree from an accredited theological school. One year residency from an accredited ACPE center
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:Active congregational ministry experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Clinical pastoral experience of two (2) years
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:Ecclesiastical endorsement or recommendation by local faith congregation.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:Certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains or it’s affiliate cognate group. Ecclesiastical endorsement by faith group. Ordained by faith group.
