Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college or university.
• One quarter of certified Clinical Pastoral Education through ACPE, Inc., or NACC.
• Master of Divinity degree preferred; one year residency from an ACPE center.
• Active congregational ministry experience.
• Two years clinical pastoral experience preferred.
• Ecclesiastical endorsement or recommendation by local faith congregation.
• Certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains or equivalent; ecclesiastical endorsement; ordained by faith group.

Responsibilities

• The Associate Chaplain provides Christian ministry to the spiritual, emotional, and relational health needs of all patients, families, and staff, regardless of age, race, gender, ethnicity, or religious preference.
• Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.
