Qualifications

• Proven track record in securing extramural funding (e.g., NIH, other sponsors).
• Experience mentoring faculty, residents, and students in academic medicine.
• Strong leadership and collaboration across departments and centers.

Responsibilities

• Represent the department and Chair in all research matters.
• Promote high-impact research to improve health outcomes.
• Align departmental research with UT Medicine strategy and goals.
• Oversee research ethics, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Coordinate with other ACRs and external partners on research initiatives.
