Job summary

Quill is seeking an Associate Category Merchant to shape and grow designated product lines. You will manage product-line P&L and partner with merchandising, pricing, analytics, marketing, eCommerce, customer relations, and sales to meet sales and margin goals.

You will combine financial analysis, customer insights, vendor collaboration, assortment planning, and promotional execution to enhance the online shopping experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in buying-related roles (merchandising, planning, inventory, marketing, or sales).
• Experience with online merchandising strategies and practices.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; capable of building and manipulating spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business plans for assigned product lines.
• Manage product lifecycle including assortment planning, vendor selection, pricing, and inventory.
• Collaborate to drive sales, margin, and competitive differentiation across teams.
• Improve online shopping experience using data and digital tools.
• Support go-to-market promotions to boost traffic and incremental sales and margin.
• Negotiate with vendors for favorable terms and funding.
