Job summary

Carvana is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to manage inventory acquisition through online auctions and review vehicle condition reports for optimal inventory selection. You will analyze reconditioning costs and collaborate with multiple teams to drive data-driven decisions.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of experience in auto auctions or damage estimation, strong Excel skills, and the ability to present findings to management across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, Supply Chain, or similar field.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Direct experience with auto auctions as a used car buyer or in the estimating of damage to automobiles.
• Ability to think analytically and make report & process recommendations with proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to collaborate among multiple business units.
• Ability to confidently converse with and present to all levels of management within your team as well as cross-functionally.

• Perform quality evaluations of vehicles to ensure accurate optioning during CR review.
• Understand reconditioning costs and the impact to a vehicle’s quality.

• Multi-task in a high energy, fast paced work environment while always looking for ways to improve processes.

About the team and position

We are a team of highly enthusiastic, motivated and driven individuals. In this role, your primary responsibilities include staying abreast of the used vehicle market, knowledge of in-lane and online auctions, reviewing vehicle condition reports and displaying a solid understanding of vehicle reconditioning costs while acquiring inventory for Carvana.

What you should know

The qualifying candidate must be analytically-oriented, demonstrate an interest in the automotive industry, goal-oriented, enthusiastic, energetic, organized, self-motivated, with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization. Qualifications:
