Base pay range

$62,500.00/yr - $67,500.00/yr

Associate Buyer – Hard Goods

This role works with the Merchandising team to achieve the financial goals of the Hard Goods, Camp business. This position will report into the Divisional Merchandise Manager, Hard Goods. This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in our headquarters in Park City, UT.

What you get to do every day:

• Assortment Selection: pricing, category/brand mix, and seasonal selection of inventory for the category
• Vendor Management and Negotiations: discounts, terms, pricing policies, promotional periods, PO compliance and issues management
• PO Management: marks vendor catalogs for SKU/PO worksheet creation, building POs and ensures on time submission to vendors
• Promotions: Works with Marketing to brainstorm Promo concepts and helps to set up the promotional cadence for the category
• Pricing: Works with the Planner to set the Pre-season pricing strategy and manage end of season price-break dates
• Inventory Management: Works with the Planner to establish Preseason PO Receipt Flow and manage Return to Vendor (RTV)
• Online Merchandising: reviews/optimizes color thumbnail displayed on PLP and Search pages

What you bring to the role:

• 1-3 years of relevant Industry Merchandising and Buying experience
• Expertise in outdoor brands and merchandising preferred
• Solid foundation of Retail Math and Buying Fundamentals
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel a must)
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to perform under pressure and prioritize competing tasks
