Job summary

DELTA |v| Forensic Engineering in Charlotte, NC, seeks an Associate Biomechanical Engineer to support accident reconstruction within the ARC and Biomechanics team. You will assist senior engineers with fieldwork and in-office analysis, applying biomechanics to document crash scenes and evaluate vehicle dynamics.

This role suits detail-oriented, collaborative engineers eager to grow in injury biomechanics, CAD/FE modeling, and computational simulation with some regional travel.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. (preferred) or M.S. in Engineering with an emphasis on Injury Biomechanics.
  • Knowledge in Biomechanics, Injury Causation, Injury Threshold.
  • Experience in CAD, FE modeling, and computational simulation is highly desired.
  • Available to travel regionally.
  • Comfortable working on a team and in a collaborative space.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Associate Biomechanical Engineer is an early-career engineering role within DELTA |v|’s Accident Reconstruction (ARC) and Biomechanics team. This position supports senior engineers in the investigation, analysis, and reconstruction of motor vehicle crashes, providing technical expertise through a combination of fieldwork and in-office analysis. Associate Biomechanical Engineers apply engineering principles, emerging technologies, and analytical tools to document accident scenes, evaluate vehicle dynamics, and support the development of clear, science-based conclusions.

This role is well suited for engineers who are highly detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and eager to grow within a collaborative forensic engineering environment. This opportunity involves some regional travel. The candidate must enjoy working in a high-energy environment and being outdoors.

Skills And Qualifications
